Five Fun Events You Can Do at the AusFitness Expo This Year
Australia’s biggest celebration of health and fitness is back! From September 19-21, 2025, the annual AusFitness Expo will take over with three action-packed days of health, wellness, and serious inspiration.
Whether you’re keen to explore the latest health trends, sample cutting-edge nutrition products, score exclusive shopping deals, or catch up to live sporting events, there’s something for everyone.
Plus, this year’s expo features a range of epic fitness challenges open to all attendees. If you’re feeling competitive (or just want to have some fun), here are five challenges you won’t want to miss.
YOHKA
With short, Ninja-style obstacle courses officially joining the 2028 Olympic Games as part of the Modern Pentathlon, this fast-paced format is experiencing a resurgence in popularity again, and YOHKA is leading the charge in Australia.
As one of the country’s most exciting up-and-coming obstacle course events, YOHKA will be bringing its Sprint Series to the AusFitness Expo, and it’s open to everyone. Test your grip strength and agility on monkey bars, rings and the legendary warped wall. It’s fun, fast and suitable for all ages and fitness levels.
Step Into the Arena of the DEKA Fitness Challenge
Think you’ve got what it takes? It’s time to prove it. Brought to you by the creators of Spartan, DEKA is the decathlon of functional fitness — a high-energy, 10-zone test of grit, power, and endurance. With movements like box jumps, ski erg, rowing, and more, this gym-style race is designed to challenge athletes of all levels.
Whether you’re a HIIT junkie, CrossFit regular, or just someone who loves a good sweat — this is your moment to throw down and earn your DEKA MARK on the biggest fitness stage in the country.
No gimmicks. Just raw, measurable performance.Come try it. Come crush it. Come see what hybrid fitness racing is all about. You can come along and sign up on the day.
CrossFit EXPO Games
The official and licensed CrossFit EXPO Games are back, showcasing elite, masters (age-based) and adaptive athletes across a series of high-performance events. Hosted by CrossFit SFS, the Sydney leg of the competition will take place live at the Expo in September.
Spectators can witness some of the best in the sport compete, and aspiring athletes can register to be part of the action through CrossFit SFS.
Search4Hurt Challenge
Think you’ve got what it takes to be on TV? The Search4Hurt team will be filming a new episode live at the Expo, putting contestants through a series of gruelling challenges designed to push mental and physical limits.
They'll also have a cardio challenge set up at their booth for anyone brave enough to give it a go. Whether you’re aiming for a spot on the show or just want to test your fitness, this one's guaranteed to get your heart racing.
Calisthenics
Prefer body weight training? Don’t miss the Calisthenics Zone, where you can watch (or try) impressive strength and agility moves like muscle-ups, planches and human flags. This area celebrates the power of training with your own body, and it is open to all skill levels from beginner to advanced.
The Streetlifting Australia section of the calisthenics zone will be hosting National finals on the Saturday and Sunday, so if you want to be part of the more casual competition, Friday will be the day for you to attend. You can sign up via their instagram.
So no matter what your preference, the AusFitness Expo Sydney is the place to be this September.
