A Sleek, Sexy New Fun Run Is Coming To Sydney This July
Sydney’s running scene is about to get an upgrade.
Mark your calendars for Sunday, July 27, 2025, because the Real Insurance Harbour 10 is bringing a fresh pulse to the city’s winter race calendar. With both 10km and 5km distances to choose from, this isn't your average weekend fun run- it’s a celebration of movement, connection and community. It’s a race built by runners, for runners. And it’s all about good energy.
A New Era For Sydney Runners
The Real Insurance Harbour 10 has been reimagined for the new generation of runners—the ones chasing sunrise runs and showing up to weekend sessions not just for the fitness, but also for the vibe.
This isn’t just another race. It’s a curated experience for people who live for that runner’s high and value being part of something bigger.
Flat. Fast. Full of Feels
The course is fast, flat and flows right through the heart of the harbour city. Expect iconic views, smooth pacing and good company. Whether you’re aiming to hit a new record or just looking to cruise through the city streets with your running crew, this run is for you.
Starting and finishing in The Rocks, the 10km course is a single-lap loop that hugs the harbour foreshore. Runners will pass through Walsh Bay, under the Sydney Harbour Bridge, around Barangaroo and over to Pyrmont taking in some of Sydney’s most breathtaking sights along the way.
The 5km course is equally scenic and designed for participants of all ages and abilities. It starts on George Street, continues around the edge of Sydney Harbour, under the Harbour Bridge, and includes an out-and-back section along Hickson Road, finishing with views of the Sydney Opera House.
More Than Just A Run
From first-time 5k runners to seasoned 10k vets chasing new records, the Real Insurance Harbour 10 is a chance to rally your crew, set a mid-winter goal and feel the electric buzz of a city run that actually gets what runners want.
But it’s not just about the run. For the second year in a row, Australian Cancer Research Foundation (ACRF) is the official charity partner. Participants are encouraged to fundraise, with every step helping to support vital cancer research.
