A bit about YOU:
I am a self-confessed beauty junkie and lover of all the latest & greatest when it comes to makeup, skincare and wellness products. Not content with using chemical-laden products, I am an advocate of non-toxic beauty and am passionate about promoting change within the Australian beauty industry with more non-toxic & high performing options being accessible to people.
I am a qualified makeup artist and a mum of two girls and a stepson – all under 5!
What is Clean Beauty Market?
Clean Beauty Market is a retail and online store of over 50 leading and cult clean beauty brands from around the world. Our first store is located on the Gold Coast and we ship Australia & NZ-wide.
We have makeup, skincare, haircare, perfume, inner wellness products & more. All our lines are selected based on performance, ingredients, company ethics and they have to satisfy the beauty-obsessed! We never compromise on any of these things and we therefore have a store full of the very best in clean beauty.
In addition to the products we carry, we have a range of in-store services including makeup, facials, clean beauty swaps, workshops & wellness events. All of our in-store services are redeemable on product.
Did the online store or the shop come first?
The brick-and-mortar store came first by about a week! I feel that for a beauty store, having a physical presence is still incredibly important. Women need a space to touch, try and really relax and enjoy the experience of beauty shopping without being rushed or making regretful impulse buys.
Can you tell us a bit about your journey regarding starting the business?
I had wanted to start the business for quite a few years, but I waited until I felt the timing was right both for the idea to flourish & with my own personal circumstances. Once the stars aligned, it was really full steam ahead! It took about 8 months to get the store up and running from the day I decided to go for it.
How do you choose the products to stock?
I source the brands I carry from all around the world – they need to be super clean, super effective, ethical & beautiful to look at. It’s hard to describe the feeling I get when I see and use a brand I know will be an asset to the store – I just know!
How do your customers find out about your brand?
Our customers generally find us through word-of-mouth, walking past, social media, and internet search for clean beauty. Many have waited for these brands to become available in Australia and discover us through our brand’s stockist pages.

What do you love most about running your own business?
I love watching it grow, building relationships with my customers and brands. There is also nothing better than seeing someone switch their products to non-toxic and seeing their skin & health improve dramatically.
