Bistro on the Greens opens at South Coogee Bowling Club

On Friday night myself and family visited the newly renovated Bistro on the Greens, conveniently located at South Coogee Bowling Club. 

We met the owners, Filomena and Gary Di Paola who have worked hard to create the perfect setting for friends and families.

The Bistro is beautifully styled, with fresh, modern and welcoming elements to complement the popular beachside bowling greens.

The menu as ‘simple & accessible for everyone’. There are relaxed Italian favourites – caprese salad, a selection of classic pastas, arancini di zucca and an extensive woodfired pizza menu – as well as bistro staples including beef nachos, grilled salmon and parmigiana. There’s also the Greens “Mega Burger” with black angus beef pattie, caramelised onion, pineapple, bacon and Swiss cheese. For dessert, Chef Ahmed’s must-try is his signature tiramisu.

The venue flows effortlessly from outdoor to indoor, with pale timber finishes, abundant light and greenery that both adorns the walls and cascades from the ceiling. Large tables and open spaces give Bistro on the Greens a real ‘community hub’ feel, making it ideal for coffee dates, pre-bowls drinks, family dinners, functions and sunny lunches with friends.

We will definitely be visiting again in the next couple of weeks with a group of friends (and their kids!)
