A Sleek, Sexy New Running Event Is Hitting Sydney This July
There’s no denying it, run clubs are having a serious moment. And why not? They’re social, motivating and give you something real to work toward, whether it’s your first 10k or prepping for a full marathon. Plus, let’s be honest: winter fitness is easier when you’re doing it with friends.
Now, Sydney’s favourite pre-marathon tune-up is getting a serious glow-up. The Real Insurance Harbour 10, is set for Sunday, July 27, 2025, is being reimagined with input from some of the city’s top run clubs, making this a race built by runners, for runners.
Expect a sleeker, more stylish vibe, a few smart changes to the format and a massive celebration to cap it off at The Rocks. Whether you’re chasing a PB or just out for the good vibes, this is the 10k to put in your calendar.
Fast, Scenic and Full of Energy: Sydney’s Must-Run 10K is Back
Ready to shake off the winter blues? Lace up for one of Sydney’s best races- where flat roads, harbour views and high vibes come standard.
Beloved by elite athletes and everyday runners alike, the Real Insurance Harbour 10 is your chance to fly through the city streets on a course that’s fast, photogenic and seriously fun. Whether you’re out to smash your PB or just looking for a feel-good run with your crew, this race has your name on it.
The Course The Captures The City
Starting and finishing in the historic Rocks precinct, the 10 km is a single loop that hugs the edge of Sydney Harbour. You’ll cruise past Walsh Bay, sweep under the Sydney Harbour Bridge, loop around Barangaroo and Pyrmont and soak in the best of the city along the way.
The 5k option packs just as much punch, perfect for new runners, families, or anyone chasing a shorter goal. Starting on George Street, the course winds along the harbour, dips under the Bridge, and offers a stunning out-and-back stretch along Hickson Road before finishing with Opera House Views.
Not Just A Run- A Reason
Whether you’re chasing pace or just the post-run high, this event is about more than the finish line. It’s about community, challenge and doing good while you do it.
This year, participants can once again run for a cause, with Australian Cancer Research Foundation (ACRF) returning as the official charity partner. Every kilometre counts, with funds raised going towards groundbreaking cancer research.
