Facing resistance at the end of your Project

It’s so common for Business Owners to enjoy working on and creating projects, however when it comes to the ‘end of the creating’ and the beginning of marketing the project - a huge amount of resistance is faced.

I have a lot of Business Coaching clients that come to me at this stage. A good example would be those with Online Courses. The course has been created, however it hasn’t sold well because they have resisted marketing the course to its full potential! Sound familiar?

I also have clients who feel like they are overwhelmed with how to finish their project in addition to being unsure how to market their creation. There is a lot of information out there and quite often it’s overcomplicated.

Both as a Business Owner & a Business Coach, my approach is always streamlined & simplified, using little to no budget for execution of your Marketing Strategies.

You do need to know what to do though!

You may also feel resistance in the lead up to the end of the year, or again at the beginning of the new year. It’s absolutely normal to feel resistance as you journey through running a Business. We’ve all been there several times!!

Tips for moving through resistance include :

  • If you’re feeling burnt out, then listen. Don’t keep pushing. Make adjustments to see what will work best while you get your energy back.

  • Otherwise, tips include :

    • Become single-minded

    • Know what your goals are

    • Write in bullet points the steps you need to take to move forward

    • Make sure your steps are in the correct order - sounds simple but many Business Owners start with the wrong steps

    • Place dates next to key milestones (realistic timings please!)

The absolute key is becoming clear minded and knowing the steps needed to be taken.

So often I see projects, businesses, and offerings overcomplicated. Simple is always best!
