Warm Up with Dry Body Brushing
Although the days are getting longer & the weather is becoming slightly warmer, I find that my feet still get cold.
If you suffer from cold feet and or hands too, did you know that dry body brushing can help your circulation improve and warm you up?
Brush a little bit longer on those areas and feel it improve over time.
A guide for your feet:
Start at soles of the feet, stroking the brush from the toes to the heel. Follow each brush stroke with a smooth sweep of the other hand.
Continue on top of foot from toes to ankles and ending at archilles tendon behind the ankle.
A guide for your hands:
Brush from the wrists to fingertips. Turn hand over and brush from the fingertips (and in between the fingers) to wrist and continue up the arm to the shoulder, working from innner to mid and then to the outer arm. Finish brush strokes over the armpit, with light strokes in small circular, clockwise direction.
Extra tip from Bodecare:
Dry body brushing also strengthens the skin by stimulating the production of collagen. This is particularly important for more mature people - as skin tends to thin as we age. Dry body brushing helps keeps your skin in great condition.
