5 STEPS TO CREATING THE PERFECT DAY

Every single day is like a clean slate. It is a blank canvas. It is brand new opportunity to create whatever you desire.
Today does not have to be the same as yesterday. It is up to you. You can do things in the same way or you can do them differently. Either way, it is your choice. You really can create whatever you want, and if there is something that you want to achieve, you can start working towards it today.
Perhaps you have been feeling that you want to start creating a better life, filled with happier and more fulfilling days. If this is the case, here are 5 steps that you can take to begin creating a life full of perfect and beautiful days.
1. Start your day right
The way that you start your day is critical. It will set the tone for the rest of your day. Everyone knows that if you wake up on the wrong side of the bed, get ready in a rush, and end up being late for work, it will likely set you up to not have a great day.
Kick the day off to a positive start by creating a beautiful morning routine. Start the by doing something nourishing for yourself such as cleansing your body with some lemon squeezed in warm water, and then go for a brisk 20 minute walk outdoors. Or, try waking up 30 minutes earlier so that you can get ready in a relaxed manner, and allow yourself time to prepare some healthy lunch to take to work. Or, maybe you can nourish your mind and spirit by practicing 10 minutes of meditation and then repeating some positive affirmations.
2. Do what you love
Doing what we love to do naturally brings us feelings of happiness and fulfilment. If you can’t spend your whole day immersed in a task you love, make sure you at least prioritise some time for it in the day. You may need to even schedule time in to your calendar for this.
Many of us go through our lives doing all of the things that we ‘have’ to do, rather than doing what we love to do. You will never find the time to do what you love, unless you make the time. Write out a love list, and then commit to doing at least one thing off this list every day.
3. Do one thing our of your comfort zone
Have you ever heard the phrase – ‘if you’re not growing, you’re dying’?
When we do not continue to challenge ourselves we begin to stagnate. When we stop changing, we fall in to a rut. If we do not look for opportunities to stretch ourselves beyond our comfort zone, we cannot grow.
We experience fulfilment when we grow in ourselves. We cannot truly experience happiness unless we feel that we are progressing, evolving, moving and becoming more.
Taking steps out of your comfort zone causes you to stretch yourself. It makes you feel alive. It allows you to do new things, and have new experiences. This is where the magic happens. This is how you become a bigger and better version of yourself.
4. Think positively
The way that you choose to think is extremely important. Crappy thoughts = crappy feelings, while happy thoughts = happy feelings.
Do not allow the circumstances of your day dictate whether or not you are going to feel happy or not. You must choose to think positive, uplifting and optimistic thoughts regardless of what is going on around you.
Spend your day focusing on all the good things. When you look in the mirror notice your beautiful qualities, rather than your flaws. When you are at work, appreciate all the great things about your job rather than focusing on all the not so great things. When you spend time with people acknowledge all of the qualities you love about them, rather than the ones you don’t.
You can have a completely different day based on whether you choose to think positively or negatively.
5. Take a step in the right direction
If you have a goal that you are working towards, or something you are wanting to create or change, make sure that you take one step each and every day which will take you towards the result you want. That is all you need to do. Just one step each and every day.
Baby steps are pivotal to success. It does not matter how small your steps are. Doing one thing is better than doing nothing. Each day, as yourself “What is one thing I can do today which will take me closer to my goal?” Or, if you have several things you feel you could do, and you can not decide which one to do, as yourself “What one action will have the biggest impact on the achievement of my goal today? ”
Small steps add up. By taking one positive and constructive step each day, you will eventually be lead to achievement of your dreams.
